Booklet containing keywords relevant to creating a website using RocketCake software and a space for students to complete their own notes/definitions
Please note: this booklet is divided by topics which reflect how we split up the teaching of Rocketcake in the lessons
Please note: The booklet was made when I was using version 3.3 (free, not professional) but I also used it to teach RocketCake 4 due to few changes in the software.
A useful companion to our collection of RocketCake resources
This first pack contains 10 tasks that could be used for cover, as part of a lesson or for revision.
The resources comes with a booklet version and also the individual tasksheets.
All files are PDFs.
Three mini exercises that I used to revise / recap the use of PowerPoint and RocketCake to make an interactive multimedia produdct for R087.
Once both practice activities are complete students compare the software so they can make a choice of how to tackle the brief.
Final lesson includes teacher presentation
A selection of short revision tasks covering each area (not every aspect is covered)
It is an interactive multimedia product and is a PowerPoint Show
It can be used in a variety of ways, for example:
The teacher can choose the tasks from an interactive whiteboard
Students can pair up and one has it on their screen whilst the other student does the task
Includes the PowerPoint version for your convenience, plus a student workbook
Please note: Files are zipped as our website server does not allow PowerPoint Show files; it is recommended that it is launched directly from a file area to retain all the interactivity

A selection of videos covering more advanced use of Microsoft PowerPoint, aimed at the production of an Interactive Multimedia Product.
Videos do not include narration but most include additional text to help explain concepts where necessary.
Videos include Action Buttons; Adding ALT text; Animations; Compressing Images (on file Save); Kiosk Mode; Naming Slides; Saving as PowerPoint Show; Slide Master; Sound; Transitions; Triggers (Bookmarks and On Click of) and Adding Video
Created using Microsoft PowerPoint 16
An Interactive Multimedia Product (IMP) made in Microsoft PowerPoint for students to revise from
Comes with question sheet which is ideally printed so they don’t need to come out of the IMP (or the IMP could be saved as a PowerPoint instead)
Scheme of Work to complement our Interactive Multimedia Products unit
Could be used to help you structure how to you deliver R087 for Creative iMedia
Practice includes Presentation and Website method
Please note: This resource does NOT include the resources and the scheme of work does not suggest when or how long to spend on the assignment
Suggested resources column reads “See lesson plan and resources” - where you can provide a link to where these are e.g. Google Drive, network folder
Second lesson in a series of lessons that aim to teach KS3/4 students how to develop a website using RocketCake 5.
Completely reworked from my RocketCake 4 KS4 lessons - students now learn by creating a website with you, starting with a master page to promote consistency.
A good tool to help students in Creative iMedia R097 if their brief can be solved with a website as no coding is required.
Lesson includes teacher PowerPoint with videos guiding the process (and an all-new voice!); separate videos (MP4) for students to play on their own; student checklist; assets to help build the page quickly e.g. logo, text; teacher solutions to tasks.

First lesson in my series to help teach students how to use the basics of Adobe Illustrator (based on 2023 version)
The main focus of the lesson is to help students get used the workspace and perform basic operations such as open, place, align, distribute, group, colour swatches, save, export.
If you use the complete set of lessons this will help to re-practice the skills - needed for student success.
Lesson includes Microsoft PowerPoint presentation (including embedded videos); video files; starter task, interactive self-marking one; plenary questions (based on Bloom’s Taxonomy); student tasks with files if required, teacher answer files and Microsoft Word task sheet which acts as a tick sheet and direction to help video. Image included for one task.
